Treasurer, Ms. Carissa Valdez
Our operational cash flows are the same as any other
business, with operating costs, revenue streams and associated expenses. As
Treasurer, Ms. Carrisa Valdez is responsible for ensuring that our books are
always in balance and in full compliance with government reporting requirements
through Quickbooks. In addition, Ms. Valdez generates standard financial
reporting to the chapter on a regular basis; including profit and loss
statements, balance sheets, and accounts payable and receivables.
“Learning Quickbooks and the accounting system for our
chapter has taught me as well as my brothers an invaluable knowledge” states
Ms. Valdez. “It allows us to apply real world applications to gain an
understanding of the accounting practices that are used throughout corporate
businesses.” In addition to her Treasurer duties, Ms. Valdez is also
responsible for setting and managing the chapter budget, as well as all
required chapter filings with the IRS and our national offices.
